1.      Group Standing. Written on back "1909 Gisburn Morris Dancers First time out". Written on face of photo "Gisburn Morris Dancers".  From Henry Slater.    Confirmation of the date of this and No. 2 from Mrs. Rebecca Clayton, nee Wright, who also has copies; she also says that these were "the very first Morris dancers at Gisburn".    (Notes by Julian Pilling,  March 1962)
